Sheffield Tigers have a very active Junior section with teams in the Mini (U7-U12), Junior U13 ,U14 & U16 age grades and Senior Colts (U18).

We train and play on Sunday mornings at the Club, usually starting at 10:30 am. For away matches it is usual to meet at the Club between 09:00-09:30 am depending on venue.

Junior rugby starts from U13 onwards, full pitch 15-a-side rugby is played with special emphasis placed on the safety of contested scrums and lineouts.
The RFU requires that the safety and well’being of players is paramount and has issued a list of safety features especially for Mini/Junior rugby. Amongst these are that gum shields are compulsory at all ages, qualified first aiders must be present and a minimum number of coaches must be qualified.

We are keen to provide rugby opportunities for players of all ages and we are looking at ways to develop our Mini section (U7 to U12 age grades) and Junior section (U13 to U18 age grades). To be successful we need the support and efforts of volunteers in a variety of roles. We are keen to hear from any adults who would be prepared to join our team and help us build on our successes to date and work with us in creating a thriving Mini/Junior Section.
