WE PROMISED YOU SOME BIG NEWS...

It’s no secret things have been tough this last two years – many rugby clubs have suffered; many are selling pitches to stay afloat… not Tigers, Tigers have come out roaring!

With 16 sections to the club and growing, Tigers is bigger and better than it has been in decades. We have seniors, we have Sheffield Tigers Women RUFC, we have thriving minis’ and juniors’ sections (with colts coming) and the mighty Sheffield Vulcans RUFC… and all those teams need space to play.

After a 30 year wait, we are ready to break the turf to build our fourth pitch. Huge thanks to Wayne Ballance (treasurer) and Paul Walker (club chairman) whose expertise, sales skills and just plain graft have got us to this exciting point… and now the hard work begins...

This is a huge project. The projected cost will be £150,000: we have pledges from private sponsors, but we still estimate we’ll need to raise a lot more to bring the project to completion.

This fourth pitch is a huge asset - every Tiger, large or small, player or member will benefit. We are asking every Tiger, every section to help. Tigers are building for a brighter future and you can be part of it.

We’ll be holding a full club meeting on Wednesday 19th January 2022 – we’ll be setting out our plans to make this happen. Everyone’s ideas are welcome. Everyone’s contributions are needed. All sections of the club will be represented. We want you be there too!
