INTERNATIONAL TICKETS

International Ticket Allocations — Overview

What is it?
The “International Ticket Allocation” refers to the number of tickets for national/international fixtures (e.g. matches at Allianz Stadium / Twickenham Stadium) that are made available to clubs affiliated to the RFU — including Sheffield Tigers RUFC. Clubs receive a quota of tickets each season which they then allocate to their members.

Because demand usually outstrips supply, having club membership gives members a chance to apply for these tickets before any public sale.

Who is Eligible
• Only fully paid-up adult members are eligible to apply for International Tickets.
• For high-demand home internationals (e.g. major matches), there is a ballot if applications exceed supply. In such cases members are initially limited to 2 tickets per match (including any junior ticket) in the first round.
• Applicants state their preferred ticket price category (e.g. possibly Premium, Category 1, etc.), but the club reserves the right to adjust the price (up or down) depending on availability.
• All tickets allocated are subject to the RFU Ticket Terms & Conditions (personal use only — cannot be resold).

Note: For some lower-demand or less popular matches, allocation may not be ballot-based; in those cases, quantity restrictions may be looser (depending on supply).

What Membership Entitlement Means

• Adult Playing, Adult Student (full-time/unwaged), and Adult Non-Playing members are all eligible to “Apply for International Tickets.”
• Only members whose subscriptions are fully paid by 1st July each year are eligible to apply.
• Membership does not guarantee tickets — it grants the right to apply. Allocation depends on club quota, demand, and ballot outcome where applicable.

What the Process Looks Like (for a Member)
1. Ensure your membership is fully paid and eligible by the club’s deadline.
2. When the club announces ticket availability (e.g. for Autumn Internationals or Six Nations), complete the application form, indicating number of tickets and preferred pricing category.
3. Submit the form by the club’s stated deadline.
4. If demand is high, a ballot determines who gets tickets; initially members get 2 tickets per match (including juniors).
5. If allocated tickets, payment will likely be needed promptly and the tickets will be issued under RFU’s e-ticket system (mobile delivery, via the official stadium app).
6. Tickets must be used personally (or by specified accompanying relatives/friends), and must not be resold.
