It is with regret that we announce that Paul Walker is standing down as Chairman of Sheffield Tigers.

Paul has been our driven and dynamic chair for 10 years. During that time has; led the rebuilding of a thriving Minis and Juniors section, brought on a Women’s team that has represented us at Twickenham and secured back-to-back promotions, organised and managed the acquisition of land for a new pitch and welcomed the inclusive Vulcans team to Tigers.

Under his Chairmanship, the men’s team have played continuously in National 2 North, Level 4 of the RFU Men’s pyramid, a massive achievement, punching above their weight year after year.

His knowledge and connections in the rugby world have attracted talented players and coaches to the Tigers family.

Paul’s current focus is his family and he does not have the spare capacity to devote the time and energy the club needs to continue to be successful.

We are grateful to him, wish him all the best and hope to see him socially at Tigers in the coming seasons. In recognition of his achievements for the club, Paul has been elected as an Honorary Life Member of Sheffield Tigers RUFC.
