Waiting for the runners

For the 9th year in cold but dry weather, we staffed the water station outside our ground entrance for the 6500+ entrants running down Hathersage road (10K point from the city centre finish).
We handed out 100s of bottles of water, encouraged the runners and helped tidy up our part of the route after the last runner had passed by.
Tigers would like to thank our very small band of regular volunteers (4 Tigers members and their families) for their help and flying the flag for Tigers.  Also, this year we were helped by Sheffield Sea Cadets who did a great job handing out water and tidying up afterwards.

The winner was Tommy Power,Hallamshire Harriers in a time of 1:08:22. First woman back was Clare Frankland,West End Runners in a time of 1:17:52.
